Good to meet you. I'm a serial entrepreneur primarily in the Internet space who has picked up deep interests in sustainability, politics/policy, economics and writing (fiction and non) somewhere along the way. I've co-founded three Internet ventures (and am currently starting a fourth), co-authored two books on nanotechnology and sit on boards of two non-profits (Open Books, a literacy organization, and Fulcrum Point, a New Music company.)

Sustainability in it's broadest definition - environmental, economic, political and social. Trying to make each day a little better than the day before.

You can only effectively address what you can define and measure - until we find effective ways of measuring abstract ideas like happiness, sustainability or even quality of life we are no closer to solving our largest problems. Sometimes massively disruptive events like the global recession create opportunities to think about these big ideas and retool policy and even society. Crisis not only equals opportunity, but creates the necessity for new ideas that is the mother of invention.
