Bio
As a graduate of the master's program in particle physics at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, I find joy not only in numbers but also in letters. For the past seven years, I have dedicated myself to slam poetry, publishing a collection of calligrams titled "Nemluvím" ("I Don't Speak") and contributing to the anthology "Škála" ("Scale"). I have also graced the theatrical stage in productions like "Nevyžádaná rada" ("Unsolicited Advice") and "Poetry Jam." In addition to my artistic pursuits, I have completed basic courses and an advanced course in Theatropolis at the School of Improvisation.
Moreover, I have a knack for throwing stones—specifically in the sport of curling, which I have been passionately engaged in for over 11 years. For two years, I was enrolled in a program for elite student athletes by VSC Victoria in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. I proudly captained the team Savona M, which ranked third in the country. In recent years, I have also taken on the role of coaching university students and juniors. I serve as a member of the Junior Committee of the Czech Curling Association, where I oversee the organization of the international CJCT tournament. Occasionally, I provide commentary for live online broadcasts of championship competitions on Czech Television. I have represented the Czech Republic at the Junior World Championships 2015, the Winter Universiade 2019, the Women's World Championship 2022, and the European Championship B 2022.
Furthermore, I actively participate in organizing sporting and social events (having served as chair of the Student Union at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering for three years) and have contributed to the coordination of events such as faculty balls, school festivals, and tournaments within the European Junior Curling Tour. I also enjoy photography at many events, with a particular passion for capturing sports, especially curling and whitewater slalom.
I find fulfillment in my involvement with Prague Pride and Science to Go associations, as well as managing the IG profile for Jaderky. During my studies, I assisted with the promotion of the faculty abroad and worked at the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where I conducted research in the field of laboratory astrophysics, using high-power lasers to investigate dynamic processes in space.
In my spare time, I love hiking in the mountains, lifting weights, and playing the guitar. As evident from the above, I am deeply fulfilled by working with people. I enjoy exploring various forms of communication, from face-to-face to online interactions. I relish challenges as much as I adore unicorns and sleeping in a hammock.
I am a member of the Friends of People in Need Club and a volunteer for Doctors Without Borders and Million Moments for Democracy. I answer inquiries as part of the Ask a Scientist project. Currently, I am involved in producing conferences for TEDxPrague and TEDxPragueYouth. Additionally, I mentor aspiring producers through TEDxPrague, strive to inspire high school students in the KudyKampus project, and occasionally serve as a judge for presentation competitions like Ptezentiáda. In the past, I have also been involved with Paralelní Polis Studio.
I thoroughly enjoy bridging the worlds of science and art, and for that, I am grateful for the opportunities to do so through collaborations with the Dance Theatre Ponec, Studio Alta, and Laterna Magika at the National Theatre.
I'm passionate about
seeing the change in the world.
An idea worth spreading
The young may represent thirty percent of the present, but they are one hundred percent of the future.
Things you might not know
listening cringe songs.
