Judene Small

Judene Small has an impressive and diverse professional background. As a partner at the Cultural Leadership Fund, she focuses on strategic partnerships and community engagement. Her journey includes co-founding CHIENET, a marketing and operations firm, and RootsxWings, a digital media company that amplifies the stories of nonbinary youth. Earlier, she was the chief strategy officer at BAM Communications, where she established the venture and startup marketing practice, and director of operations at uBeam (now Sonic Energy), assisting in raising over $30 million in funding. Her educational achievements are equally notable, holding dual bachelor's degrees in Theatre & Dance and Sociology from Trinity College, a MFA in choreography and performance from Mills College, where she also taught, and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Additionally, she contributes her time to All Raise Los Angeles and Best Buddies in Los Angeles. Beyond her professional life, Judene's roots as a Jamaican immigrant and Brooklyn native shape her mission to drive positive generational changes within her community. She has a passion for travel, art, and enjoys spending time with her family, both biological and chosen.
