I’m a final-year Cybersecurity student at Chennai Institute of Technology, but somewhere along the way, I realised that I’m just as fascinated by people and their stories as I am by technology. I write Tamil poetry, love Bharatanatyam, host and curate conversations through podcasts, and somehow found myself spending the last two years at TEDx doing what I enjoy most working with people and their ideas. I started my TEDx journey as a Social Media Manager, learning how a story can be shaped for an audience. Over the next two years, I moved into Speaker Management and have had the opportunity to lead the team twice, working closely with speakers from the first conversation to the final moment on stage. It taught me that a great TEDx talk isn’t just about a great idea; it’s about finding the person who can make that idea feel personal, human, and worth remembering. Now, in my final year, TEDx feels less like another role I’ve taken up and more like a space that has shaped who I am. I’ve learned to listen better, lead with empathy, handle uncertainty, and bring together people who may have very different stories but something meaningful to say. If I get the opportunity to lead another TEDx chapter, I want to build on that experience and create a stage that feels curious, diverse, and genuinely human.
