Bio

I’m a senior sales manager with a pharmaceutical marketing company- Medheights Pharmacy Ltd. I have over nine years of experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative. I am an advocate for wholesome living and a Basic Life Support provider- with a certificate issued by the American Heart Association- and a fitness enthusiast. I am adventurous, love to travel, try out new things like jet skiing, scuba diving, zip lining (I still have mountain climbing, sky diving and bungee jumping on my bucketlist). As a passionate lover and seeker of knowledge, I enjoy research and teaching people. Volunteering is a hobby of mine, which is how I got introduced into the TEDx community in my city.

I'm passionate about

Wholesome living, work-life balance, writing, volunteering and travelling.

An idea worth spreading

Wholesome living. Little drops of water, they say, make a mighty ocean. A little seed planted grows into a big trees. In my community, little healthy habits that can contribute to a wholesome life are oft overlooked. So you find a wealthy man dying at 50; a 30+ year old suddenly slumping due to stress; young people with diabetes and other debilitating illnesses. Even the rate of suicide is now on the rise. Do you know that laughing can reduce tension, music can release endorphins, hugging a person or animal can destress you, eating your favorite meal can make you happier, exercising keeps your heart healthier. Imagine being intentional about doing these little things everyday. The compound effect of these little habits can greatly improve the quality of a person’s life. The whole is made up of parts and these tiny parts (good habits) can contribute to a wholesome life.

The TED story

My friend, Eketi Edima Ette, was a speaker at a TEDx Ikenegbu event in my community in 2021. She invited me as her +1 and I was pleasantly surprised to know that TEDx events were happening in Nigeria. I loved watching Ted videos and didn’t know it could be a community organized event. TEDx Ikenegbu 2021 blew my mind. I loved every speaker and learned new things. By the end of the event, I was hooked and asked how I could be a part of this intellectual community. Thus, my volunteering journey began. I volunteered in the next Tedx event and was part of the executive volunteers. I love how ideas shared at these events can change lives and I have been a part of the TEDx community ever since then.
