Soumya Dabriwal is the founder of Project Baala based in India. With vast development sector expertise, she engaged in projects across Ghana, South Africa, and India. Witnessing girls in Ghana missing 3 days of school per month due to inadequate menstrual protection, she initiated Project Baala to address this global issue. Baala delivers innovative menstrual hygiene solutions, and since 2018 has provided 2 million reusable pads, conducted 7000+ awareness workshops for 750,000 women and girls across 4 countries and 25 states of India. She is a CommonWealth Youth Winner , Acumen Fellow, World Bank Youth Summit Winner, Global Good Fellow, Entrepreneurship World Cup Finalist,Swedish Institute Gender Advocate and a TedX Speaker.
