The TED story
My TED story pretty much aligns with my TEDx journey as well. Having grown up and lived in Ottawa, I had heard of TED, maybe watched a few clips, thought it was a great concept, but didn't immerse myself too much into it beyond that.
The full-immersion came when I embarked on somewhat of a gap year to Poland in Spring 2015. Within a few weeks, I had found TEDxKrakow, and after attending their live streaming of TEDWomen, I reached out to one of the team members regarding getting involved. What's funny is, I didn't even know how much longer I would be in Poland (the gap year was sort of an indeterminate, prolonged vacation of sorts... At first).
Well, before I knew it, I was live-blogging the TEDxKrakow 2015 conference, and the communications team had pretty much adopted me into their family. As an official member of the team, now I curate the English blog for TEDxKrakow, as well as help in coordinating our monthly events. And the rest, as they say, is TEDstory.
