Bio
I've been happily teaching and learning at Oxford High School for 18 years. Besides an ever-changing and fun career, I enjoy being a mother, and athlete, and a traveler. Music plays a big part in my life as well as reading, logic puzzles, and socializing. I especially look forward to what my students--as young people with emerging skills, talents, and ideas--have to teach me that will help me grow!

I am passionate about reading, music, traveling, food, and my students. I enjoy meeting new people and finding out how they think. Every person has something to teach me!
The TED story
Not only do I have the Ted app on my phone and love viewing the latest Ted Talks on education, family, science, and relationships, I also had the honor of nominating one of my students last year for our areas first TedX Youth event. Attending the event was fun and challenging and inspired the student I nominated--Joseph--to organize an event to be hosted this year at our own high school in oxford, Michigan. When Joseph asked me to be the adult contact person for this, I readily agreed and look forward to what the students do to make this one spectacular, successful event in our community!
