Bio
Michael Riordan is a professor at RIT's School of Media Sciences where he teaches coursework in media architecture -- cross-media publishing and production. Through his research, he works closely with publishers, service providers and creative agencies to help improve their workflows and has worked with CGATS and standards organizations to develop quality assurance mechanisms to support the same.
In addition to his teaching, Michael also serves as a Director and researcher at RIT's Open Publishing Lab. The OPL is a cross-disciplinary lab that brings together students, faculty and staff from a range of disciplines to create next-generation publishing solutions.
Last year, Michael founded Independent Good, a non-profit dedicated to helping people connect.
