Learning to boldly lead with confidence, courage & integrity, while attentively learning from others, is a journey she is intentionally embarking on.
Family & time spent with family is important to Lolo - family given and family created.

The TED story
For years I had been an avid fan and consumer of TED talks. One day a conversation between my partner and I took the direction of... 'But why not do a TEDxGaborone?'
The opportunity to transition from a conscious consumer into a creative creator and curator of something truly remarkable and impractical was enough fuel for the curious conversation.
In 2015 the first TEDx in Botswana was held under the theme 'Imagine a Better World'. The most recent was held in March 2017 under the theme, 'Transcendence'. The stories of lives changed and developed after the events continue to be nothing short of inspiring (speakers, hosts, attendees alike).
In 2016 I got the opportunity to attend TEDWomen in San Franscisco as a TEDxChange Scholar (fully funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in collaboration with TED Conferences). The conference theme was 'Time'. This serendipitously came at a critical point in my life and left an indelible mark in my life.
Invitation on to the Advisory Board of TED Global 2017 has been an amazing experience for growth, development adding value to quality conversation. Strong leadership, agility, nimbleness, creativity, healthy debate, unorthodox perspectives and an appreciation of the richness and diversity of the continent are but some of what is experienced within the team.
They say familiarity breeds contempt. It is difficult if not impossible to become overfamiliar with the new experiences that you encounter at every touchpoint of your journey with the TED brand.
I look forward to seeing further infiltration of the TED philosophy in Africa (with distinct ROI). To see more Africans solving Africa problems and fully utilizing the TED platform to tell their stories and spreading their remarkable ideas worth sharing.
