The TED story

My story starts from Lyari Town, Karachi, Pakistan as I live there. Belonging from a town which had been called as the darkest and the most dangerous area of Karachi, made me face challenges in getting many opportunities in my school age. My family's financial condition was not good and my mother used to look after my family. But when I got admission in a school which was somehow different from the other traditional schools, my life got totally changed. I was given an opportunity to think more than who I was. I was encouraged to make mistakes, I was given opportunities to express my self, I was now at the place where I was not scolded after making mistake, I was now growing and my mind was opening for new ideas. My family was also given financial support and relaxation and that too made me more focused over my studies. I made friends and I had given chance to go and explore different events and programs. My teachers are the best teachers of the world because they taught me everything I had ever needed. Now, I was ready for the challenges, so graduating from the schol didn't even stop me. I continued doing different projects, involved myself in different programs and conference. Sometimes, I didn't use to know the way to the venue of an event I had to go to, but still I used to leave home and sit in a public bus after asking from people about the suitable way to go there. Google maps was my friend and I used to reach my destinations on time. There was a time when people used to tell me,"Why do you do like this, just go for some job. These events are not going to pay you off." but I didn't respond to them at that time. Then, there came the time when I was organizing my own event and all of them were in my team in full support of my idea. They still say that I was right and did what was good for me at that time. Those events uplifted my CV. I didn't learn English from any specific institute but from my own school teachers in my school time. Seeking opportunities made me hear different narratived built on different philosophies of life so I heard them all and learnt to express myself out. Today, I have done so many jobs which I got from my CV made with those experiences and my CV has never been rejected yet. Still, I am on a good position, running my family financially and I believe that I will conquer many hearts and achieve more milestones with these ecperiences. My belief, my communication, my ideas and my friends are my super powers. That is why, I always ask everyone around to always help people in surrounding and make yourself a listener. Because listening is the primary step for learning which no one should skip. Mentors are very important in our lives. So, this is me and this is my TED story for now. Thank you!
