About Jessica

Bio

With a deep curiosity in the change-catalysing properties of storytelling and the possibilities of cultural strategy, I’ve just started working in Nesta’s Arts Practice to enable the development of cultural projects and partnerships with its Sustainable Future Mission. Recently completing a prestigious Clore Fellowship in cultural leadership, I have expertise bridging the worlds of television, documentary film and non-profits. I was the Director of Impact & Partnerships at Doc Society for 5.5 years, initiating, growing and leading many of the organisation’s key partnerships and projects. I helped establish the Climate Story Fund, enabling a slate of 25 storytelling projects from around the world - many of them award-winning - to maximise their creative and impact potential. The first 15 years of my career were spent producing documentaries and factual television. I have also worked in strategic communications, leading projects for prominent NGOs. My practice now integrates this breadth of experience, embracing opportunities to optimise the powers of arts & culture at a systems level. I live in London with my husband & daughter.
