Idea generator, Parent

After graduated from Zhejiang University, I started to work here as a counselor in Hangzhou Foreign Languages School in Zhejiang Province in China. My major job at school was helping students in the school to handle the application process for American Universities. (Those students are in a-level center). I found that education is miraculous. Being a father and a teacher, I always felt like that everyone involved in the process was making progress, no matter whether he or she is the teacher or the student. I, together with my family, my son and my students, are becoming more and more mature learning from each other. This also encourages me to be more passionate about my job, my life, every day.

Many students I taught or am teaching have great ideas about volunteering and public interest. They organize thousands of activities to help vulnerable groups, trying their best. Enthusiasm about this can be delivered and spread, I believe, especially by students who represent kindness, excitement, and youth. So I encouraged them to think of some ways to make their ideas sound by more people and even the society. Maybe some professors in the nearby universities are so willing to share their knowledge with students who cannot afford great school? Maybe some entrepreneurs are happy to donate some of their wealth to the poor? And I told my ideas to my students and that’s why they’ve come to me and told me about their plan about Tedx.
