Monica H. Kang is passionate about bringing out the best in leaders and teams. A strategy and systems expert with 18+ years of experience, she specializes in building thriving environments and bridging cross-industry communities. As Managing Director of Programs and Strategy at the Council of Korean Americans (CKA), Monica oversees a leadership portfolio spanning from C-suite to next-generation initiatives. She manages people and operational systems required to scale CKA’s mission and empower the Korean American community. Previously, as Chief Strategy and Partnership Officer at SHIA by Chef Edward Lee, she oversees the nonprofit fine dining restaurant’s strategy, partnerships, and educational programs to drive operation and strategic success. As the Founder of InnovatorsBox®, she provides bilingual executive coaching to make leadership development practical for global audiences. A dedicated community builder, Monica also serves as Executive Director of TEDxLogan Circle, managing a 30+ person team and 60+ partners. Her background as a U.S. government nuclear policy expert informs her strategic work across D.C., Geneva, Vienna, and Seoul. A bilingual Korean American, she is committed to bridging K-culture across generations. Monica holds an M.A. from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a B.A. from Boston University.
