Bio
John is co-founder of Project Read, the first AI reading coach for young children. Previously, John was Co-founder of Dunce Capital, Zeal Learning, Rocketship Education, the United States' first blended charter school system and NetGravity, the first Internet AdServer company. In between, he served as the Chairman of the Charter School Resource Center of Tennessee, was founding director of KIPP Academy Nashville, was a second grade teacher in the Nashville public school system for 3 years, and co-founded Sacred Heart Nativity School in San Jose. John holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master's Degree in Education Policy from Vanderbilt University. John is an Ashoka Fellow, a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, and the 2010 winner of the Aspen Insitutute's McNulty Prize for social entrepreneurship.
