Bio
A long-time TEDster. Randy is CEO and Founder of LQD WiFi. At LQD we believe that everyone should be enabled to Surf Freely. Randy is a board member of Visual Thinking Strategies, an internationally renowned art education and critical thinking organization. He is an expert in international business, humanitarian affairs, advanced technology and impact investing.
Now an entrepreneur, Randy made the leap in 2012 following a 15 year career at Microsoft where, for 7 years, he was Microsofts CTO for International Organizations. The unique opportunity gave Randy rare access and insight into the operations, decision-making and deep-field challenges encountered across international development and finance institutions. As a result, Randy remains an adviser to a cadre that spans the globe from young entrepreneurs to investors to leaders in international organizations.
Randy's 20 years at the heart of the tech, finance and humanitarian revolutions brings unique insight to what innovation really works and.. and more importantly, what doesn't.
