Bio
Kia ora, ko Bronwyn Hudson toku ingoa.
I live full-time in Waihī Beach, a place that continues to shape how I see the world. I grew up nearby in Paeroa, with this stunning beach as the backdrop to my summers, and that deep connection to place has grounded my understanding of community, resilience, and change.
My work sits at the intersection of behaviour change, lifestyle medicine, and mental wellbeing. I hold a Master of Science in Personalised Nutrition, certified as a Master Health Coach and I’m currently a PhD researcher, exploring how we can better support psychological wellbeing through evidence-based, human-centred approaches. I’m also a self-confessed science geek, but the more I learn, the more I understand the only subject I will ever come close to being an expert in is myself. I empower others to become their own best experts, too.
In a changing world where we are more “connected” than ever, yet often feel increasingly alone, I believe reconnection — to ourselves, our values, and our communities — is essential.
I wear my heart on my sleeve, laugh loudly and often (and cry easily too). Like many of us, I don’t have a perfect body or a perfect diet - and I have experienced several challenges to my health, mobility and wellbeing over the years. I believe the true essence of wellbeing in a changing world lies not in control or optimisation, but in compassion, adaptability, and how we feel as we move through it.
I'm passionate about
People. Fun. Laughter. Food. Connection. Authenticity. In my professional life, I'm passionate about exploring the connection between food, mood, and the everyday behaviours that shape our health and wellbeing. At the heart of my work is a simple but powerful idea: in a rapidly changing world, the way we eat, move, rest, connect, and respond to stress matters more than ever.
As a mum of four, I take a realistic, compassionate approach to being well - one that recognises the complexity of real life. I’m not interested in perfection or rigid rules, but in helping people make meaningful, sustainable changes that fit within the lives they’re actually living.
