About Noorie

Bio

I’m responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of the Siemens US region’s decarbonization plan to achieve net- zero operations by 2030. Prior to this role, I spent 9 years at Siemens Technology, the global corporate research arm of Siemens. I focused part of my time on modeling and optimizing life cycle environmental impact of emerging products and technologies for novel carbon capture and utilization methods, rare earth materials mining and processing, and additive manufacturing. The other part of my time at Siemens Technology was in urban development focused on evaluating environmental and economic impacts of growing cities and collaborating with more than 15 cities across North America to identify technology and infrastructure solutions that would enable cities to reach their economic and environmental targets! I also served as a Research Fellow for Project Drawdown providing technical analysis that served as the foundation for three chapters in The New York Times bestselling book “Drawdown: The most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming.” I was born in India and did my bachelor’s in engineering from University of Pune before coming to University of Florida for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering.
