Hinano Kanesaki

Student

I’m a third-year student in the Department of Urban Policy at the School of Policy Studies, Kwansei Gakuin University, based in Hyogo Prefecture. I study urban policy, local communities, and business administration. In my political philosophy seminar, I examine public policy through philosophical concepts and frameworks. My interests include democracy, peacebuilding, the sustainability of local communities, and philosophy. In a society where many people struggle with mental health challenges, I’m exploring how we can build communities grounded in straightforward kindness—where people can live for one another and feel genuine human warmth. I have been involved in community projects in Japan and joined TEDxKobe as a staff member in 2023, working on social media communications, production, and speaker curation. Since 2025, I have served as a co-organizer, running salon events and preparing for the main conference. In addition, I launched a social media marketing team at a company and managed its owned media. I also completed the Green Innovator Academy and worked as an intern supporting regional revitalization initiatives in Sabae. Inspired by how ideas can expand our world beyond the boundaries of “I,” I’m working to help share ideas from Kobe to the world.
