Once upon a time, in the vibrant halls of Tai Solarin University of Education, a remarkable story was unfolding, and it was my story. My name is Emmanuella Azegba, and I proudly stood as an alumni of this prestigious institution. The date was July 22, 2023, and I had the honor of co-organizing the inaugural event of TEDx TASUED. As I walked through the familiar corridors of my alma mater, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. This event was not just another gathering; it was a culmination of hard work, dedication, and a burning desire to make a difference. I knew that today, our university community and anyone hungry for knowledge would be enlightened and inspired. The theme we had carefully chosen for this momentous occasion was "UNEARTH," a reflection of our mission to empower young minds with quality information that would set them free and propel them towards excellence and productivity. It was a theme that resonated deeply with me, as I had experienced firsthand the transformative power of education. In the days leading up to the event, my fellow organizers and I worked tirelessly to bring our vision to life. We collaborated with passionate individuals, curated a lineup of thought-provoking speakers, and created an immersive environment that would ignite curiosity and spark change. Finally, the day arrived, and the auditorium buzzed with an electric energy. As the co-organizer, I took the stage to welcome the audience, sharing my own personal journey of growth and transformation at TASUED. I spoke about the profound impact of dedicated teachers and mentors, who had shaped me into the person I had become today. Throughout the day, an array of inspiring speakers took the stage, sharing their stories, experiences, and ideas.
