Bio
Maya Draisin is the associate publisher and head of marketing at WIRED, overseeing the development of programs and ideas that drive revenue for the brand. Maya previously served as WIRED’s promotions director, special projects director, and brand & strategy director. Before joining WIRED, she co-founded The Webby Awards and its judging body, The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

An idea worth spreading
If our first priority in arranging society was people and all living things, the world would be a different place. I would love to "collect" everyone who preferred to live that way and see what kind of world we could create within the dominant culture.
The TED story
WIRED was launched at TED, and we've had a long standing history with TED. When we were looking to host a dinner party with thought leaders for @nokia to talk about where technology was taking us, we could think of no better place to do that than TED. I have been to Monterey and to Long Beach. This is the first time I've been to Vancouver.
