Currently a student pursuing a major in life sciences at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune; I enjoy looking at the biology of interactions at different levels of organisation. My scientific endeavours have spanned across multiple model systems; mosquitoes, eggplant, moth larvae, crayfish and cichlids. Although most of this work has been carried out with thorough and strict scientific procedures and planning, a lot of my heart lies in human-human and human-nature interactions by just plainly looking outside the windows of buses and trains. I enjoy thinking about the general threat of connectivity that runs across all facets out the world. Beyond science and thoughts, for the past fifteen years I have been actively learning, performing and teaching Indian Classical dances. I am professionally trained in Bharatnatyam and Satriya (the classical dance form from Assam). I believe Indian classical forms have an untapped potential, unique from all other forms we see in the modern world.
