Bio
In 2013, I had a realization - if I wake up still doing what I am doing now (helping lawyers make more money) in 15 years from now, I will have lived an unfulfilled life. So I quit my job, moved across the country, and started a coaching business. When the movers came to my new home in California, the boxes started stacking up in the garage. I took the lid off the first box and there it was - a plaque I had received in 1993 for being a top salesperson selling kids' books door-to-door during a summer in college. The plaque quoted "The Man in the Arena" and as I read it I started to cry. Never give up on your dreams. Never say no to the life you want to live. Never let someone else tell you that you are not good enough.
A fierce advocate for women who want to follow their dreams, I bring the life skills and business acumen together to coach leaders and teams to do more than they ever thought was possible.
I lead business development in Northern California for one of the largest law firms in the world, DLA Piper. I have a passion for technology and women’s leadership and 20 years of experience developing and executing strategic initiatives to help organizations identify and expand successful lines of business and strengthen client relationships.
I am a leadership coach and podcast host with 77 live episodes available on all podcast platforms and 10 new episodes launching in March 2019. I have experience as a certified Rule 114 mediator and cross-cultural trainer for executives. I have built award-winning websites and never stop dreaming about what is next.
As a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and a Professional Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation, I have proven success working with corporate executives and entrepreneurs on team culture, business growth, and strategy. I mentor entrepreneurs and the start-up community through Draper University, Founder Institute, Cal Poly’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, RocketSpace, and as a founding coach of The Coaching Fellowship for women entrepreneurs.
I am the host of the podcast, Powerful Conversations, featuring interviews with thought-leaders from across industries. Follow me @bodegabay1 or connect on LinkedIn.
An idea worth spreading
Human Potential: Fear, Saboteur, and Daring Greatly
We live the story we tell ourselves so how do we change the dialogue in our heads. I call that voice the saboteur and it is very strong. What I have witnessed through coaching hundreds of executives and founders and interviewing CEOs and best-selling authors, is that we are most afraid of our success. Our saboteur keeps us down because we don't want to be too great.
I want to share the ideas I have learned and coached on to allow anyone the power to dare greatly. Through life lessons, leadership and, hardship, I break down the power to set intentions and live bring your dreams into reality. I will share a few key metrics so participants can track how to get from where they are now to where they want to be.
I will share a plan to help you focus on the process and stop missing out on some of the biggest deals of your life.
I will help you own your value and stay relevant to the people who matter most to you. Through interviews with 100 leaders, I bring together life lessons for an inspiring and informative session with advice that will inform the way you live.
