My TED journey begun in 2015, when with a handful of other persons we started forming a team which would ultimately grow larger and organize a TEDx in Lesvos, Greece. The first event took place in 2015, in the midst of a very stressful period in the greek financial crisis and stirred the waters of the local community. I was honored to be one of the two co-organizers and also lead the content subteam. The first event received an almost ~85% positive rating from its audience and started a history which is now just before its fifth iteration. Somewhere along the way, life developments made me move away from Lesvos and end up in the nearby Chios island, a quite different community. The purposefulness of a TEDx experience in the new place, became apparent to me since the beginning. Thus, I started discussing the idea with some new acquaintances and we ended up forming a small team to assess the feasibility of such a project. Half a year later, we are applying for a license.
