Bio
Some people call her a “crazy Greek lady.” For sure, she is loud. Honestly, she is just a 38-year-old woman making it work outside her country of origin for more than 13 years now. Not only that, but she is having a fabulous life, making incredible connections, and bringing value to everything she touches. TEDxZurich is the most fun and beautiful playground for her.
Georgia’s first volunteering experience with TEDx was in 2019 when TEDxZurich was celebrating its 10th anniversary, and Georgia was a wardrobe volunteer. With more than 600 attendees and not a single jacket or umbrella lost on the day, the TEDxZurich team would invite Georgia to support again. What wasn’t evident is that in April of 2022, Georgia would be nominated to lead some streams for the TEDxSalon events and eventually co-lead TEDxSalon.
Since April of 2023, to the amazement of her sister, who considers volunteering more than 3 hours per day madness, Georgia has been leading the whole (37 people) TEDxZurich association, a 100% back-office job that ensures that the TEDxZurich team of volunteers is happy and thriving, curating fabulous TEDx events in the city of Zurich.
If Georgia hadn’t been busy feeding her curiosity with Executive education at MIT or saving the planet with Sustainability projects for a Fortune 500 company, she would have had a career in interior design, astrology, or smoothie-making.
I'm passionate about
Spirituality, innovation, engineering, energies, having my brain picked, people, fun, laughing, hugs, creation, collaboration, supporting each other, the city of Zurich (big love), the people in my team, creating magic, coaching, feedback, mentoring, volunteering, generosity, women supporting women, karma, doing good because you can.
An idea worth spreading
Volunteering is a beautiful form of selfless generosity. It involves donating something much more precious than money: your time and energy.
(We are) One team, One brand, One bank account.
There is just one of you out there: trust in the value you can bring to the world.
We are not saving lives. Go to work happy. Regardless of how demanding it is, we should feel happy when you go in.
- Wouldn't you rather believe in some kind of magic?
- I believe in myself, and I am magic. // dialogue from a Netflix series
Is your heart a sponge or a fist?
Life is full of complications. That doesn't mean it has to be full of suffering.
Stop being sleepy, and be productive instead. :)

The TED story
Once upon a time, Apple launched its first iPad. Georgia, being the geek that she is, bought it, and one of the first apps she installed was TED. This combo of new iPad and TED app made her extremely popular among Engineering students in her Greek university. She was too cool for her own good.
Fast-forward five years. Georgia lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, works for Nestlé, and one day, to her amazement, gets invited to the first-ever TEDxLausanneWomen event!!! Until the day that a man broke her heart, making her run away from Lausanne, Georgia was a faithful, annual attendee of the event, and huge supporter.
The year is now 2019, and TEDxZurich is celebrating its 10th anniversary, to which Georgia applied to support and became a wardrobe volunteer. With over 600 attendees and no jacket or umbrella lost on the day, the TEDxZurich team would invite Georgia to help again. What wasn’t evident is that in April of 2022, Georgia would be "accidentally" nominated to lead some streams for the TEDxSalon events and to then co-lead TEDxSalon. This is a funny story but for another time.
Since April 2023, to the amazement of her sister, who considers volunteering more than 3 hours per day madness, Georgia has been leading the whole (37 people) TEDxZurich association. This is a 100% back-office, hugely demanding role that ensures two things:
1. that the TEDxZurich team of all-year-long volunteers is happy and thriving, curating fabulous TEDx events in the city of Zurich, and,
2. that Georgia has absolutely no free time to spend on dating and potentially finding the love of her life.
The End
(you wanna know more, you have to drop in a coin)
Things you might not know
Many things, I don't even know I am good at. I am certainly fantastic at listing things I should improve at. Anyhow, good at but people don't know: Hardcore engineering work (being a Manufacturing Engineer by education), designing heavy Excel files that perform unique calculations, cutting and colouring hair (and not only her own), mentoring young people who just entered the workforce
Things I am terrible at: filtering, laughing quietly, setting boundaries to prevent being squeezed like a lemon, dating (still an unresolved life mystery).
