A career including both consumer ( including Elle, Grazia, Mother and Baby) and B2B ( including WGSN, Ascential Intelligence, Money2020) extensive experience and success in leading content and data rich subscription businesses. Business circumstances have varied, including, serious structural challenges, huge competitive threats, strong market tailwinds, emerging and new markets, businesses that are number 1 in their markets, as well as challenger businesses aiming to take the number 1 position, starts ups, early stage and scale ups. This has included full scale digital transformation, culture resets, driving through operational excellence, relaunches, launches, closures, divestments and acquisitions. With teams and businesses in Sao Paulo, New York, LA, Hong Kong, Shanghai, London, Dubai and Europe across a range of business models including, digital subscription businesses, events (paying delegates and sponsors), lead generation, advertising and advisory. Concurrently serving as a non exec director on a VCT plc (Proven Growth and Income) for 13 years where we have 6x the value of the fund and invested in and exited over 60 fast growing businesses. A passionate and dedicated advisor to businesses including TED, Walking on Earth (early stage people tech) and BAYY Agency (early stage marketing agency).
