Elsesser is a research scholar at the Center for Study of Women at UCLA where she has taught courses on gender. Inspired by her work on Wall Street, Elsesser researches issues holding women back in today's workplace. Her new book, Sex and The Office (available soon) discusses how issues as varied as workplace romance, jealousy and sexual harassment training build an invisible barrier between men and women at work. This barrier makes it more difficult for women to network with the men that still run most of our organizations. She has published in the New York Times and the Guardian and has discussed gender issues on television on Fox News America Live, and radio on NPR's Talk of the Nation and BBC World News. She lives in Pasadena, California.
