Bio
Hello,
I'm Jen and I have the wonderful opportunity of volunteering alongside the Creative Core mission with TEDx Atlanta through Content Research through Interviews from past and present TED Presenters! I've been a Strategic and Technical Writer for about 10+ years and was able to define more of my craft in the Arts at Hampton University in Hampton, VA. I'm very excited to be working with a strong team that's passionate about the overall mission in people and purpose at TEDx.

The TED story
My freshman year of high school was the first time I had ever watched a TED Talk. These types of public forums were gaining traction in the academic world, and one day my Language Arts and Humane Letters class was challenged to create a talk that mirrored the structure of Ted Talks; Chris Anderson's, 'What Makes a Great Talk, Great'. I wasn't a fan of the assignment initially, but the more background research I did, I began to grow a passion for public speaking and research. The diligent preparation speakers go through is encouraging as well as brilliant. After presenting my speech, I was asked to be in the Newsletter/Yearbook Club as well as the liaison between staff, students, partners, and donors. It seemed like a dream conferred then, and a dream come true now!
