Bio
Even before kindergarten started, I was telling stories! It is no surprise to those who knew me then that I became an award-winning public speaking teacher, scholar, and director with a passion for the social justice act of lifting voices that are missing.
Today I leverage my 30 years of experience in the public speaking and storytelling classroom and 20 as director of a high-profile communication consulting organization by coaching. I am a communication coach to the adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities living at Peacehaven Community Farm in Whitsett, NC, a TEDxHighPoint coach, and the storytelling coach at Hirsch Wellness Network, where I aid in lifting the voices of people whose lives have been touched by cancer.
I'm passionate about
inclusion and I put people and relationships first in all that I do.
An idea worth spreading
If the arts are for everyone then why are people with disabilities absent? They should be intentionally welcomed to all cultural arts experiences. It is time for a culture shift.
