An idea worth spreading
You can make anywhere a leading hub of innovation if you pick a sufficiently narrow field and take the actions necessary to become the best place to innovate in that field. Who will become the "Hollywood", Wall Street", or "Manhattan Project" of nuclear fusion? Of modular housing construction? Of AI agriculture? Many fields are, as yet, unserved by hubs. All that is needed is for your city to commit to the needed infrastructure and resources.
The TED story
I've been coming to TED since I was a student volunteer at TED2. I created the first TED Fellows program at TED4Kobe. TED is a watering hole we all need to drink at from time to time.
