Philanthropy thrives in the presence of bold thinking, effective tools, and norms that nurture a culture of giving. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Philanthropic Partnerships team empowers donors to achieve more with their giving, and it invests in organizations that strengthen the philanthropic sector in the United States, China, India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. In my role on the team it is my great honor to engage global philanthropists in order to understand their needs, interests and barriers. I then make connections to people, networks, experts and ideas that can help them achieve their philanthropic goals.
