My TED journey began when I first saw THAT Ken Robinson talk on education which totally blew me away. Realising there is a spirit of change + a community out there which you can tap into and be part of, inspired a new perspective on how the world can be connected through sharing ideas. JR's Prize-winning talk about using art as a global game changer inspired a team here in Cyprus to set up a similar initiative which we used to raise awareness on the financial crisis of 2013. Jamie Oliver’s talk on educating our younger generations about healthy eating led to a collaboration of the first Food Revolution day in Nicosia, Cyprus. Being part of a local TEDx team gives me the opportunity to discover our local community's ideas worth spreading and to share them with the rest of our island and the world at large. The result is that we can help inspire each other and future generations.
