We play a game called Good Better Best where we practice layering ideas for maximum impact. Start with a garden + at a school + that puts fresh food into the cafeteria + donates the rest to a food pantry so there is fresh food + kids create recipes with the food in the garden that they like to eat + make a recipe book by the kids + illustrated by the kids, too + sell at the school carnival to make money for next year. No idea is a full idea and no idea is an island. Everyone needs connections and needs to practice deliberate layering. Give what you can to make project work and then it does work. Every project we launch has more depth and students respond beautifully to the high-demand work.
