Bio
The unifying thread of my work is bringing people together through the stories and values we all share. I've worked as a writer and producer in print and television journalism with local and statewide outlets in both English and Hawaiian, and done private sector and government public relations on the federal, state, and county levels. For over a decade, I've served clients in renewable energy, government and politics, and hospitality through Hiehie Communications.
As a new father, my focus has sharpened on initiatives to build a sustainable and equitable future for Hawaiʻi, including service as board chair of Hawaiʻi Island United Way and involvement with Hawaiʻi Green Growth and the ʻĀina Aloha Economic Futures movement. And as the son of a Vietnam Veteran, I'm proud to serve as a Dole Caregiver Fellow, supporting and advocating for the Hidden Heroes who care for our veterans long after their military service concludes.
