About Jay
Bio
Jay is the Executive Director of TED, where he oversees all of TED's programs and initiatives devoted to bringing Ideas Worth Spreading to communities all over the world. He joined TED in 2014, and served as Executive Director of TEDx until 2021. From 2012-2019,he served as Director on the Board of Directors of Nutrisystem, a comprehensive, Internet-based weight loss program, and Constant Contact, a digital-marketing platform to help drive small businesses. Prior to joining TED, Jay was CEO of CityGrid Media, Citysearch, Urbanspoon, and Evite -- all part of internet conglomerate IAC -- and prior to that he held senior positions with The Boston Consulting Group and GE Capital. He has a B.S. in Business & Management from the University of Maryland at College Park, and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainbleu, France.
