After 16 years as an executive of the Pão de Açúcar Group, João Paulo Diniz transformed Componente, a company involved in administering restaurants, into Componente Holding, an investment company set up to manage his own diverse businesses. The new company's portfolio includes investments in gastronomy (Forneria Group, Ecco and Dressing restaurants); Globalbev a food and beverage distributor; sports such as the Bodytech Group, the largest network of gyms in Brazil and RC Bikes/Soul Bikes. João Paulo is a member of the board of Península Participações and Instituto Península, the social arm of the Abilio Diniz family, which aims to improve the quality of education and sports practice in the country. He also plays an important role in the Organização Atletas pelo Brasil whose main goal is to further professionalize and promote sports activities in Brazil.
