Carlos is passionate about making a meaningful impact in communities. He works for Neighborhood Centers Inc., the Gulf Coast’s largest community development organization and the go-to resource for impact and innovation. His role is to work cross functionally on social entrepreneurial initiatives across the agency; prior to this he served as the Chief of Staff to the organization’s President and CEO. His commitment to making positive contributions is evident in his civic duties. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of The LiveSmart Initiative, is the volunteer Regional Leadership Director of the National Hispanic Institute, and is the Founder & Co-Curator of TEDxYouthHouston. These endeavors have provided educational and leadership opportunities to thousands of young people. Recently, he was awarded Houston Grand Opera’s Ovation Award for his philanthropic, charitable, and civic contributions Houston. Carlos is a graduate of The George Washington University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
