Felicia Fdyfil-Horne LCSW is a social work entrepreneur, therapist, educator, advocate, and leader in the field. Felicia is dedicated to creating a safe space for healing and she takes a person-centered and individualized approach to building therapeutic relationships. Felicia has more than 15 years of experience working with mental health agencies that partner with the Child Welfare System (DCP&P) and the Children's System of Care; including roles providing crisis intervention therapy, trauma-focused therapy, individual and family therapy, Clinical Consultation, and Clinical Supervision. Felicia is a believer that with the proper techniques and the desire to work toward a better tomorrow, progress can be achieved. Ms. Fdyfil-Horne LCSW has been trained in various evidence-based practices of trauma-informed treatment, including EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ARC (Attachment Self-Regulation and Competency), and Felicia is certified in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Her passion for trauma-informed care extends to supporting culturally inclusive policies and practices. Felicia believes that it could be said that all of therapy is built on a foundation of hope. The hope that one's habits, behaviors, emotions, outlooks, problems, and relationships can change leading to progress while committing to doing the work. Felicia is a believer that with the proper techniques and the desire to work toward a better tomorrow, progress can be achieved. Her passion for ending stigmatic impediments which hinder black and brown communities from taking steps to seeking therapeutic help led her to create Hope Therapeutic Services. Hope Therapeutic Services is a community-based mental health agency aimed to present mental health topics in a way that feels more accessible and relevant. As founder and owner of Hope Therapeutic Services, she has created a service provider which has successfully served more than 3000 clients since 2016. Hope Therapeutic Services has a staff of 50+ diverse mental health professionals providing both in-office therapy and in-community therapy within Northern New Jersey. HOPE was founded based on the passion and commitment to helping individuals and families find hope through the power of building your own internal and external resources. Felicia is also the founder of Hope Lives Here Inc. a 501(c)(3). Hope Lives Here is a youth development extension of Hope Therapeutic Services. Felicia holds a Master of Social Work from Columbia University and she is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Additionally, Felicia is Chair of the Essex County NJ-NASW chapter, she sits on the Board of Trustees for Family Connections, Inc., and Partners for Health Foundation. Felicia is also a clinical consultant for local community organizations.
