Sachin Shankarrao Deshpande , Associate Professor Department of Computer Engineering, Vidyalankar Institute of Technology Teaching and Administrative Experience 30 Years Technical Papers Published 20+ Books Authored 2 Masters Students Guided 15+ Childhood : “ Bring back those days to me” Recollecting my childhood memories, I remember the days: school with caring and strict teachers, the love and selfless affection of Mother, fun squabbles with siblings, indoor-outdoor games - each of these activities inducing discipline, team spirit, healthy competition and passion towards excellence. My Father was a Doctor and a member of the paramilitary force Home Guard. His Association with Ayurveda Medical College as a professor paved the way of my interest in teaching because I experienced it closely as a kid; the selfless joy of teaching blesses you with. Entry in to Professional Education: “Doing the things” When I graduated in Computer Engineering I realized that it wasn’t the shortage of resources but a passion to address the problem, which leads to success and satisfaction. I still relish the annual festival moments full of fun and vigor, in fact, I feel fortunate to be able to enjoy a similar experience along with young bright minds now. Journey of Professional World : “Beginning of my Carrier and life-long learning” “If you Love to Teach, you Love to Learn “ and as a witness to the transformations happened in every aspect of Teaching Learning Process in last three decades , I think the passion to learn new things is the best way to inspire the students, engage them and support them in their aspirations. I enjoy teaching courses in variety of domains like Computer Networks, Databases, Programming Languages, Computer Graphics and Artificial Intelligence amongst others. Teach them the way they learn is a principle I follow. Being with Students during their project work, guiding them using the experience and learning from them about new tools is truly an enjoyable experience for me. Some of my students Project got transformed in to product and have stood top in various technical Project competitions. I was department head for almost 10 years and with the support of department team and student synergy, I could embark on initiatives like launching a CSI Student Branch, Institutional Network Infrastructure, Paper Publications, organizing TEDxVIT and collaboration with the CyberFrat community . I am a part of NGO, enjoying the Tree plantation and Parenting mission, taking care of 5000+ trees in proximity.
