I am an educator and academic leader committed to transforming schools into communities where curiosity, compassion, inquiry and meaningful learning thrive. My journey began in the classroom and has grown into educational leadership, teacher development and international education. Working closely with students, educators and families has taught me that education is ultimately about people. I am particularly interested in empathy, educational leadership, student agency, international-mindedness and the ways schools can prepare young people not simply to succeed academically, but to understand themselves and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

I am passionate about reimagining education as something deeper than grades, examinations and classrooms. I care about developing educators, empowering young people, building student agency and creating learning environments where curiosity and compassion are valued alongside achievement. I am especially interested in international education, educational leadership, empathy and helping schools develop cultures where students and teachers feel that their voices matter.

Empathy begins when we replace judgment with curiosity. We often form conclusions about people before knowing the stories behind their behaviour, choices or silence. I believe empathy is not simply kindness, agreement or sympathy; it is the willingness to become curious about another person's experience. When we learn to ask before assuming and listen before responding, we create better classrooms, stronger relationships and more compassionate communities. Perhaps one of the most powerful questions we can learn to ask is not, "What's wrong with you?" but, "What might I not know about your story?"

TED represents the power of a simple idea to challenge assumptions and start conversations far beyond one room. My interest in TED comes from years of working with students, teachers and communities and seeing how one story, one question or one different perspective can change the way someone thinks. I want to contribute ideas drawn from education and human experience while also learning from people whose perspectives are very different from my own. For me, TED is not simply about speaking; it is about listening, questioning and participating in a global community built around ideas worth spreading.

People may not know that I am good at seeing connections between ideas that initially seem unrelated. I enjoy taking complex educational or human challenges, asking the questions beneath the obvious questions, and turning them into conversations people can connect with. I am also good at bringing people together around a shared purpose—especially when different perspectives are sitting at the same table.
