About Sonic
Bio
Grew up in Bangalore, India, and was bred to be a professional Badminton player until 21, when I had to give up the sport due to an injury! Serendipitously met my Co-founders and went on to build Campus Diaries, which aimed to bridge the gap between colleges and industry in India! Scaled it to over 200k users across 1000+ universities - but failed to raise the next round in 2016 and had to scale down operations!
Currently in exile, from being a founder, and working at the intersection of marketing strategy and analytics at Meta supporting some of the most sophisticated performance marketers in the world. Prior to Meta, worked at Charles Schwab doing all things analytics supporting over $1.5T in retail assets.
I'm passionate about
Bridging the gap between colleges and industry, financial literacy among children, impact of sports on children, and personalizing the internet
An idea worth spreading
Unpopular personal opinion: Growth marketing is more mathematical than creative. Non CPG companies should only spend marketing $$ on performance marketing and none on brand. Purchase/ subscription is the best kind of brand building.
