Bio
Barbi Dorer is the Deputy Director for Strategic Partnerships and Protocol for Defense Acquisition University, a position she has held since August 2014. In this role, she is responsible for acquisition and management of the university’s strategic partnerships with over 100 colleges, universities, and corporate entities across the country. She also is the resident expert in protocol, in support of DAU’s president and customers across the enterprise. Dorer has also served external communications liaison for DAU’s Facebook page, managing content for the university. She also leads the Experience Team for TEDxDAU, focusing on customer experience and seamless delivery.
Prior this position, Dorer served as an education and training technician for Defense Systems Management College, providing course support for executive level courses to include: PMT402, PMT400, ACQ405, ACQ404, ATL900, and DAEOWs. This position developed a unique and comprehensive, customer perspective that continues to serve her in her current role with the University.
Barbi holds a bachelor of science in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Information Systems and Education from Liberty University. She is also a graduate of the Protocol School of Washington. She resides in northern Virginia with her husband, three children, three cats and two geriatric dogs.
