David Yick Koppel

Professional drama educator, director, actor, and playwright with over 20 years of experience on stage and in the classroom. Bay Area native and son of retired educators from the Fremont Unified School District. I received my BA in acting and integrated liberal studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994 and my MFA in acting from the Yale School of Drama in 1998. My life partner, Julie Yick-Koppel teaches social studies at Mountain View High School and we both live in San Jose, California.

Incorporating the arts with social justice in order to promote and inspire real societal change.
