Robbie is Co-founder of Planet Labs and as Chief Strategy Officer is responsible for corporate development, Impact initiatives and global policy. Prior to Planet Labs, Robbie spend almost 10 years (on-and-off) at NASA working in areas of program formulation and policy at NASA HQ in Washington DC and as a technologist and program manager for small satellites at NASA Ames in CA.

Robbie is passionate about space and our place in the cosmos, using major societal forces to create a more desirable future, building intentional companies, and creating vibrant communities around coliving and intentionality.

We will become a multiplanetary species this century and the initial conditions will have a dramatic effect on new social norms. If done with foresight, we may be able to bring the best of us into the cosmos which could enable a novel social structure. This ultimately may become the best import from space back to Earth imaginable: a new social construct.
