My main role in 'life' is to inspire people to help others. To encourage everyone to live more generous lives. I wrote a book about Generosity, called 'PLEASE TAKE ONE STEP - www.pleasetakeonestep.com - ( which was soft launched at Ted Global ) with chapters covering the links between happiness and generosity, 'Enough' - as in 'what is enough to live a happy and fruitful life? - and others on poverty in the UK, generosity to family and friends, generosity to your community, to the bottom billion and to the environment. I also founded the Rainmaker Foundation to advise companies and individuals about how to give effectively to charities. And before that founded a children's charity called Whizz-Kidz- www.whizz-kidz.org.uk - which provides mobility equipment for diabled children so that they can ' whizz' about on their own! If any of this touches your world - email me!?

Encouraging people. Inspiring people to be useful! Showing them how to be. My family.

Generosity, and how living a more generous life is so important in these dark and dangerous times!

Philanthropy

I came to Ted Global in 2009 and 2010 have been to several events since. Ted is a great place to learn, 'wake up' my mind and to meet interesting people as well as a few friends; who will inspire me, to inspire others, to spread generosity, and help people 'to be the change they wish to see in the world'.

Most of my friends and colleagues have no idea about my work, or about any of the amazing people I meet regularly from philanthropists to inspirational leaders of NGO's. Only my family!
