Bio

I'm a communication expert with BA degrees of journalism, and advertisement & marketing. I have spent a decade in the advertising industry before I started working as a marketing and communication manager a few years ago. I have been a fan of TED talks ever since I first discovered these videos during my international studies. Becoming part of the TEDxLibertyBrideWomen team in was the most inspiring and fulfilling thing I’ve done in my professional life, and I’m ever so grateful for finding such a wonderful community!

I'm passionate about

I'm passionate about social matters, inequality and the role of women in leadership. As one of our TEDxLibertyBridgeWomen speaker, Izabella Zwack said in her empowering speech, we, women are biologically wired to care. And I wholeheartedly believe that women are the key to solving many long-lasting issues of humanity, simply because we care. I would like to grow our TEDxLibertyBridgeWomen community to reach beyond the borders of our city of Budapest, and our social circles. TED is a wonderful platform to spread important messages that can inspire people all around the world, and I’d like to take these important messages to communities in Hungary where inspiration for change seems beyond their reach.

An idea worth spreading

I believe in the power of human connections. When we get to know each other on a personal level, we realize we are fundamentally all the same, regardless our nationality, social status, belief, education or the languages we speak. I would like to build bridges between with human connections. We could fix so many issues in the world with the power of empathy and kindness, and it starts with individuals reaching out to those who need help.

Areas of expertise

advertisement, branding, communication, management, marketing, social media, sponsorship

The TED story

My first TED video was the now iconic speech of Sir Ken Robinson about the connection between creativity and schools. That was an epiphany moment for me, when I realized how different education could be if schools were the cradle for creativity. At that time, I was living in Denmark and working on my second BA thesis about international communication and I've used TED as a source of inspiration in the topics of intercultural communication. Later, in 2018 I have attended my first TEDxLibertyBridgeWomen conference, and I was instantly hooked by the overwhelming positive energy in the theatre room. I was inspired, amazed, shocked, I cried, laughed and even danced with my fellow audience members. It was my cousin Evi Losonczi (head of the event organizing team of TEDxLibertyBridgeWomen) who invited me to my first TEDx event as her special guest and once the day was wrapped, I was ready to volunteer and become a member of this wonderful female team who created this amazing event. The following two years I was responsible for the sponsorship team and some of the communication projects. In 2021 I took over the communication team as head of communication, and have been fulfilling that role ever since. TEDxLibertyBridgeWomen for me is a love project, a mission and my contribution to society.

Things you might not know

I'm good at cleaning. After finishing my second degree I've stayed in Denmark for another year and worked as a cleaning lady. This year has taught me so much about humility and the value of manual work. My experiences strongly shaped my views on society and how everyone should be treated with the same respect regardless of their background or occupation.
