Hi my name is Abbie! I'm a TikToker and a TikTok disinformation researcher. I research how misinformation and disinformation spread on TikTok specifically and then I create educational content about these issues on TikTok. I'm known for my work debunking dangerous cc conspiracy theories, explaining hateful ideologies like QAnon, and countering viral disinformation regarding the safety of vaccines. My undergraduate degree was in environmental science and I'm currently pursuing my MSc. in climate studies where I focus on the intersection of climate change and disinformation. Especially on TikTok. I'm very interested in tracking and anticipating emerging climate change disinformation as well as creating inoculative content which thwarts it. I also co-run the environmental TikTok collaborative called EcoTok where we currently have 17 creators who make content regarding their various expertise.

Fighting disinformation, platform responsibility, climate communication, intersectionality, and youth involvement in all climate discussions.

Understanding the climate crisis isn't a privilege it's right. Content about climate change should never be behind a paywall and we can use social media to provide accessible, engaging climate education.
