An experienced sales professional, mother of two tweens, wife, daughter, sister. I love being inspired by others, taking little bits of information I learn from these individuals and trying to incorporate their teaching into my life. My strength has always been my curiosity to know more and to share with as many people that will listen. I believe strongly in empathy and authenticity and have come to harness that these traits are in fact my super powers. This realization has taken a lot of time to understand and accept. I have for many years believed that my strengths were common and not of much value. With both my personal and professional experiences over the years I have come to own these strengths and stop being afraid of how I am the one who is different in the room and hiding to someone who wants to use it to build bridges with people and different groups. It is this confidence in who I am and what I bring that I wish I valued earlier on in life. It is also what I strive to impart on the younger men and women I work with and reinforce as often as possible with my beautiful children.

I decided to apply for this event and participate to learn more about the event and provide feedback to the steering committee at Rockwell Automation. I want to encourage as many women as possible in this employee resource group to learn, grown and potentially participate in next years events and other events. Networking, seeking inspiration and expanding our connections is extremely valuable and adds to us in ways that are not easily measured.
