Bio

My time is split between journalism and branded content. In April 2020, Meredith launched Millie, a magazine about women and money; I am the Editorial Director. I have so, so many thoughts on this topic. I'm a tiny bit obsessive about tennis and work as reporter every year at the US Open. I write essays for the feminist blog TueNight, as well as a real estate column. Oh, and ask me about my three unpublished novels. I dare you. At the start of the last recession (now called the Great Recession, 'tho that's not how I recall it), I took a job in branded content, which I privately thought of as "the last job in publishing," because that's how it felt at that time. Turns out, I love thinking about how brands can use content to serve consumers with the information they need and want. I am the VP/Editorial director of The Foundry, Meredith's in-house content agency (formerly owned by Time Inc).

I'm passionate about

Ending ageism in the workplace.

An idea worth spreading

Let's talk about talking about money. Women are great at shining sunlight on heretofore taboo topics. Let's use that superpower to close pay gaps and make money less sticky and icky in our relationships.
