I grew up in Ohio and now live in Northern VA with my husband of 20+ years and 2 children. I spent 30+ years in the software industry in sales, marketing and management. I then decided I wanted to do something more meaningful with my life and made a radical shift to start a center that focuses on helping students who learn differently. This is based on the challenges I experienced as a mom with a child who has ADHD and related struggles. Partnering with my son's Executive Function coach, we opened a center that teaches and supports students with variable Executive Function and launched a community of parents who previously had no "one" other place to go to learn about how to deal with the challenges of having a child who learns (and thinks) differently. We opened our doors in October, 2016 and have grown quickly, working with over 200 families in our first year. On the personal side, my two children are 9 years apart (our daughter is adopted from Vietnam) so we still have roots in two worlds.
